NEXERA CoreIndustriesManufacturing and wholesale

Made to order. With a bill of materials, sold across the border.

Companies that make or trade configurable items and deliver within the EU use the same core: quotations with versions, bills of materials and production orders, purchasing with approval and accounting that knows the export rules.

BottlenecksGood fit

Where this industry loses time every week.

This is what we hear in the discovery phase in manufacturing and wholesale. Does this sound familiar? Then you know where a first phase begins.

A new item code for every variant

A size, a material, a finish. Without a fixed code structure, the same variant gets three codes and three prices.

Quotation versions in Word

Version 3 of the quotation is in an email, the order is retyped from version 2 and production makes version 1.

VAT reverse-charged, or perhaps not

A delivery to a German customer whose VAT number was never checked. The error surfaces in the intra-community supplies return (ICP).

How it works

Recorded once.
Six steps, one record.

From the first agreement to the last journal entry: what one step records, the next one uses. Nobody retypes anything.

Each step belongs to a module of the core. The module is shown with it, so you can see where the work is done.

Step 01

Variant configured, code fixed

A variant gets its code from a fixed structure. If the code already exists, so does the item.

Items & pricing
Step 02

Quotation with versions, online acceptance

Every change is a new version. The customer accepts online, in their own language, with the terms of their country.

Quotations & orders
Step 03

Order and production order

The accepted version becomes the order; the bill of materials becomes a production order with the planned quantities.

Production & quality
Step 04

Purchasing of components

Purchase orders with suppliers, receipt, invoice matching and approval. Changed bank details require a second pair of eyes.

Purchasing & payables
Step 05

Produced, packed, shipped

Produced quantities go back into stock, with delivery note and CMR from the shipment.

Logistics & export
Step 06

Invoice with the correct VAT

Reverse-charged within the EU with a valid VAT number, otherwise the VAT of the country. ICP return from the core.

Documents and rules

From the same data, with rules the core enforces.

Documents come from the order and the shipment, in the customer's language. Rules are built into the core and do not depend on anyone paying attention.

Documents

Documents in five languages. These are the main ones here.

  • Quotation with version number and online acceptance
  • Order confirmation with configuration code
  • Delivery note and CMR from the shipment
  • Sales invoice with reverse-charge VAT or the VAT of the country
  • Purchase order to the supplier and payment file (pain.001) for the bank
Rules

What the core stops, so that no one has to remember it.

  • A variant always gets the same code from the fixed structure
  • Only the accepted quotation version becomes an order
  • Reverse-charge VAT only with a VAT number that is valid in VIES
  • A new price book only takes effect after approval
  • Changed supplier bank details require a second approval
Core and customisation

What is standard, and what becomes yours.

Three layers. The core is the same for every customer, the set-up is configuration, and the customisation is code that we write and maintain for you.

The core

Already in place, in every industry

  • Configurator, bills of materials and production orders
  • Quotations with versions
  • VAT rules for the EU
Set-up

Configuration, no new code

  • Code structure and options
  • Price books and terms per country
  • Roles and approvals
Customisation

Built for this industry

  • Serial numbers and warranty
  • Project accounting with time recording
  • Integration with machines or CAD
Starting point and customisation

The core is in place. This is what we add for you.

The industries where the core has already proven itself use the same functions that you need. What your industry does differently, we add in the test environment.

Starting point

What the core already does for manufacturers.

  • Item configurator with a fixed code structure
  • Quotations with versions and online acceptance in five languages
  • Bills of materials, production orders and stock per location
  • Purchasing with approval, payment runs and the EU VAT rules
Added

What we set up or build for each customer.

  • Serial numbers and warranty registration
  • Project accounting with time recording and actual costing
  • Integrations with machines, CAD or a web shop
  • Your own documents, such as a certificate or drawing with the order

The configurator works with a fixed code structure in which every position has a meaning. We set up your options and rules within it; new options are added through the administration settings.

Yes. Technical wholesalers use the same core without production orders: configurator, quotations, stock, purchasing and accounting.

Batches are part of the core; serial numbers per unit are built for each customer as customisation, including warranty and history.

Projects are cost objects in the core. Time recording and actual costing are customisation for each customer.
