NEXERA CoreMigration
Switching without a big leap. Step by step, and verifiable.
From Exact, SAP, Oracle, AFAS or Dynamics to one system that fits your process. We transfer the data in phases, with a check per dataset and a price per phase in writing. The old system remains the system of record until everything is right.
The package works. Until you want to change something.
Large packages are built for many companies at once. That is their strength, until your process differs from the standard. These are the signs we hear most often.
The licence grows with you
Every new colleague, module or legal entity costs extra each month. Only when you calculate over five years do you see what the package really costs.
Every change is a project
An extra field, a different invoice or a new check requires a consultant, a quotation and weeks of waiting.
Upgrades break customisations
After an update, a report or integration stops working. So the upgrade is postponed, and the backlog grows.
The data goes to Excel
To do anything useful with them, orders, stock and margins go into spreadsheets. That is where the errors arise.
Slow in day-to-day work
Many screens and clicks for an ordinary order, and overviews that are only correct the next morning.
Nobody dares to touch it
Only one colleague or an external party knows how the system is set up. Every change feels like a risk.
Wherever you are coming from. This is what we bring across.
Every system has its own exports and integration options. In the discovery phase we look at what can be extracted in your case, and how. These are the systems we encounter most often.
| System | What we transfer | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Exact Online, Globe and Synergy | Contacts, items, price agreements, open orders and outstanding items, and the opening balance | Previous financial years remain available as an archive. Your accountant receives an XAF audit file from NEXERA Core |
| AFAS Profit | Contacts, items, orders, outstanding items and the financial accounts | HR and payroll can simply stay in AFAS |
| SAP Business One | Master data, open orders, stock per location and outstanding items | We review SAP customisations in the discovery phase: what is needed goes into the configuration or the customisation |
| SAP ECC and S/4HANA | Master data and open positions, per area in the order of the phases | In a large landscape we migrate area by area. Whatever has not moved yet stays connected in the meantime |
| Oracle NetSuite, JD Edwards and E-Business Suite | Master data and open positions, per area in the order of the phases | Here too area by area, with an integration for what follows later |
| Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX and Business Central | Contacts, items, bills of materials, stock and outstanding items | We rebuild customisations and reports on the core, only what you actually use |
| Odoo, Unit4, Visma, Infor and Sage | Master data, open orders and outstanding items, by export or integration | For each system we look at which export or integration works best |
| Twinfield, SnelStart and other accounting packages | Contacts, chart of accounts, outstanding items and the opening balance | The accounts reconcile with the trial balance. Orders, stock and CRM are added in NEXERA Core |
| Excel and Access | Whatever is in the files, after a check for duplicates and old codes | Duplicate contacts and outdated codes go onto a checklist first |
Four commitments
Simple, verifiable,
affordable and manageable.
What every migration rests on, whether you are coming from Exact or from SAP.
The same commitments as for every NEXERA Core implementation, applied to transferring your data.
One thing at a time
Simple
We migrate phase by phase and dataset by dataset, not everything in one weekend. Each phase has a clear end point, and your people learn one area at a time.
A check per dataset
Verifiable
Discrepancies go onto a list first. Quantities and amounts match the old system, outstanding items match the trial balance.
A price per phase
Affordable
After the discovery phase you receive a price per phase in writing, before anything is built. You cancel old licences as soon as an area is live.
The old system remains the system of record
Manageable
Until a phase goes live, you simply keep working in your current system. If something is not right, the phase does not go live.
Six steps. Each with an end point.
This is how a switch works, from the first conversation to the moment the old system can be switched off.
01 · Discovery
We map what is in your current system, what you actually use and where it pinches. With the people who do the work.
02 · Migration plan per dataset
For each dataset: what moves, how, in which phase and with which check. Together with a price per phase in writing.
03 · Trial migration
The data goes to a test environment first. Discrepancies go onto a checklist, and your key users test with real orders.
04 · Alongside the old system
NEXERA Core runs alongside your current system. That remains the system of record while we compare the results.
05 · Go-live per phase
If the checks are right, the phase goes live. If not, it does not. Then you decide on the next phase.
06 · Phasing out
Once an area has moved, it can be switched off in the old system. You cancel licences step by step.
Yes, in the form that works best. We transfer outstanding items, the opening balance and current orders. Previous financial years usually remain available as an archive or come along as an export. We agree this per dataset in the discovery phase.
That depends on the number of areas and datasets. After the discovery phase there is a phasing with an end point and a price for each phase, so you know in advance where you stand.
Then the phase does not go live. The old system remains the system of record until the checks are right, so there is always a way back.
Yes. An HR or payroll package, such as AFAS, can simply stay. In a large landscape we migrate area by area, and what follows later stays connected in the meantime.
The migration is included in the price per phase. After the discovery phase you receive it in writing, before anything is built. The pricing and approach page explains how that price is built up.
The team that builds NEXERA Core, together with a key user from each of your departments. We agree the opening balance with your accountant.
